Burglary thwarted by Thor
A burglary in Scotland was interrupted when the homeowner, dressed as Thor (the Norse God) of thunder, frightened the burglar away.
Torvald Alexander had attended a costume party dressed as Thor wearing a red cape, breastplate and horned helmet. When he saw the burglar, he charged at the man causing him to leap from a window and run away in terror.

Religion in Polls
A Gallup poll reports that two-thirds of Americans think that religion is losing influence on the lives of residents of the United States - an increase from three years ago when Americans were evenly split on the same question.
67% now think that religious influence is decreasing and 27% think it is still increasing.
