The American Taliban

The American Pharmacists Association has a policy for their members that says druggists can refuse to fill prescriptions if they object on moral grounds. Some pharmacists are refusing to fill prescriptions for birth control pills because of their religious beliefs.

Where do we draw the line on letting wingnuts decide which of our rights we can enjoy?

Will they withhold Viagra if a man is unmarried or gay?

What if a patient has cancer and needs chemotherapy or radiation treatment that will not only kill the cancer cells, but will also kill eggs and sperm?

Maybe a theater cashier should refuse to sell tickets to movies unless he or she approves of the movie's content.

Maybe law enforcement officers should only enforce the laws that meet with their personal beliefs.

Welcome to the slippery slope of the American Taliban.
