This picture was taken on Highway 9 between Santa Cruz and Felton. This run-off was racing down hill to the San Lorenzo River at the foot of the mountain.Northern California caught the brunt of last night's storm, and we escaped with a few minor slides and trees down over the road. Tomorrow's storm is aimed at us though and with the ground already saturated, we'll probably have some more downed trees, power outages and slides.
